Bobby ‘Apocalypse’ Gurtler is dead

Bobby Gurtler a.k.a. “Bobby Apocalypse” died in Beth Israel Hospital at 3:20 a.m. on Sept. 22, after his family agreed to take him off life support.

Gurtler, a former soundman at the Pyramid club and the Palladium disco, had been in a coma since Sept. 10 after an apparent heroin overdose, according to friends. The medical examiner said the cause of death was pending. Information about a memorial was not available at press time.
