Bouncer tries to remove judge

Joyce David, the new lawyer representing Darryl Littlejohn, the bouncer at the former bar, The Falls, 218 Lafayette St., who is charged with the Feb. 23 murder of Imette St. Guillen, moved on Nov. 13 for Brooklyn Supreme Court Judge Cheryl Chambers to step down from the case.

David, representing Littlejohn without fee, said Judge Chambers mishandled the assignment of lawyers in the case. Chambers said the following day that she did not mishandle anything but that she would consider David’s motion. David has also contended that Littlejohn was “railroaded” by police and the court.

The brutalized body of St. Guillen, a student at John Jay College, was found Feb. 24 in the wetland off the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn, not far from Littlejohn’s home.
