Two women, one an off-duty city children’s services worker, were arrested and charged with assault in Brooklyn on Monday, police said.
Things got physical when 58-year-old Michelle Molette, a special officer for the city’s Administration for Children’s Services (ACS), and 49-year-old Angelita Paton Bacchus started arguing with each other at a medical facility located at 101 Pennsylvania Ave. in East New York yesterday at approximately 2:33 p.m. on April 1, law enforcement sources said.
It is unclear what the dispute was about, but at one point the argument turned into a full-on brawl, with one woman suffering a minor laceration to the face, police said.
Officers from the 75th Precinct were called to the scene where they found the women still arguing. Both women refused medical attention before police took them into custody and charged them with assault.
An ACS spokesperson sent a statement to amNewYork Metro about the incident.
“We have high standards for our employees, and we take this allegation seriously. We are aware of an incident and have reassigned the staff person to administrative duty as we gather more facts,” the statement read.
