Women power!
This Sunday, Nov. 7, Women to the Front, the feminist action group will host a fundraising comedy show for Indigenous Women Rising. The show, entitled “At Your Cervix,” will be held in Union Pool (484 Union Ave, Brooklyn) from 4 to 7 p.m.
Comedians who will take part in this event are Brian Bahe, Alison Leiby, and Gigi Modrich and Shea Vassar as their host.
The main purpose of this event is to fundraise abortions for Indigenous people, create sex education curricula designed specifically for intergenerational Native/Indigenous families, and offer midwifery care to Native/Indigenous people, and provide political education. With the passing of SB 8 in Texas, Indigenous Women Rising has opened up its abortion fund to migrant/undocumented folks seeking abortion care.
