Cops looking for man who stole $3K from backpack in the Village

Police have released photos of a man they’re looking for in connection to the theft of $3,300, $350 Euros and a credit card from a 33-year-old man in Greenwich Village earlier this year.

The perpetrator stole a man’s backpack, which was left on the front seat of an unlocked vehicle just north of Houston Street, cops said.

The suspect, who police describe as bald and was last seen wearing a red shirt, blue jean shorts and white sneakers, was last seen heading west on Elizabeth Street, according to police.

The man is wanted on grand larceny charges.
