The Honorable William Wall will house a special holiday exhibit while docked inside North Cove as part of the Harbor Lights display near the Winter Garden in Battery Park City.
Members of the Manhattan Sailing Club teamed up with Project City Kids, Inc. and got permission from the U.S. Coast Guard to open up a floating train garden on the William Wall, the group’s floating clubhouse. There will be Lionel “O” gauge trains, including a model of The Polar Express, from the children’s book and movie by the same name.
The floating train display is free to all children and adults are asked to give a $10 donation to help cover basic expenses.
The exhibition opens on Wed. Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. and will run Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. until Jan. 1.
