Senior citizens, people with chronic medical conditions and pregnant women can get free flu shots at two Downtown locations, said Councilmember Alan Gerson, who organized the program. The shots will be administered from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. on Dec. 2 at University Settlement Senior Center, 189 Allen St., and 9 a.m.-11 a.m. on Dec. 6 at Chatham Green, 165 Park Row. Gerson praised Health Department officials for making the shots available and medical personnel with Gouverneur, St. Vincent’s and NYU Downtown Hospitals for providing the service free of charge. He recommended people call his office in advance, 212-788-7717.
