Hanging on by a Hair Box in Soho

The Hair Box is gone from Spring St., but at least its sign is still hanging on above the old storefront, which is now a magazine and candy store. The operator of the frozen-yogurt store next door — which is now connected inside to the old barber shop — said it’s possible that they might even turn it back into a barber shop in the future. But, he said, they want to see how the convenience store does for a little while before considering that idea.
