The country’s largest comedy festival is coming back to New York City with a bang this fall.
The New York Comedy Festival (NYCF) is returning for its 18th year from Nov. 7-13. For the first time ever, the shows will span from New York City out to Nassau County’s UBS Arena.
“To come together and experience the best in stand-up comedy and shared laughter is more important than ever,” said Caroline Hirsch, Founder of New York Comedy Festival and Carolines on Broadway, which marks its 40th anniversary in 2022. “The Festival has grown over the past 18 years, as we continue to shine a spotlight on the industry’s biggest and brightest stars and the most talented up-and-comers and reach new and expanding audiences through an amazing line-up of talented and diverse artists.”
This year’s headliners include: John Mulaney (Nov. 11 at UBS Arena), Wanda Sykes (Nov. 12 at Beacon Theatre), Jo Koy (Nov. 10 at Madison Square Garden), Bill Maher (Nov. 12 at Hulu Theater at MSG), Tracy Morgan (Nov. 12 at Town Hall), Ms. Pat (Nov. 10-12 at Carolines on Broadway), JB Smoove (Nov. 11 at Town Hall), Jenny Slate (Nov. 9 at Town Hall), Mo Amer (Nov. 12 at BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center), Shane Gillis (Nov. 11 at Town Hall), Nurse Blake (Nov. 13 at Town Hall), Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend (Nov. 10-11 at Beacon Theatre), Jimmy O. Yang (Nov. 10 at Town Hall) and Bassem Youssef (Nov. 11 at BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center).
More events are expected to be added in the coming months.
“I’ve waited a long time for this moment, and it’s a dream come true to be playing at the mecca, Madison Square Garden,” said Koy.
This huge comedy event is produced by Carolines on Broadway and sponsored by Audible, Citi, ABC7, iHeart Media, Mayor’s Office of Media & Entertainment, NYC & Company, New York Magazine, New York Post, SiriusXM Radio and Vulture. The official host hotel this year is the Hard Rock Hotel New York, located at 159 West 48th Street.
Tickets go on sale to the public on Aug. 19. Citi cardmembers will have access to purchase pre-sale tickets to NYCF shows beginning Aug. 15 at 10 a.m. EST until Aug. 19 at 10 a.m. EST.
