A memorial for Indymedia reporter and activist Brad Will, 36, who was shot to death on Nov. 27 by Mexican paramilitaries while he was covering the unrest in Oaxaca, will be held at St. Mark’s Church in the Bowery, at Second Ave. and E. 10th St., on Sat. Nov. 11. The memorial, with testimony, poetry and music, will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., after which there will be a march, possibly up to the Mexican Consulate on E. 39th St. at Madison Ave. On Sun. Nov. 12, there will be an “encuentro” at St. Mark’s from 3 p.m. into the night, featuring workshops and films on the situation in Oaxaca, where a popular uprising is demanding the resignation of Governor Ulises Ruiz. Will’s friends marched in the Village Halloween Parade carrying signs, above, and also held a memorial bike ride for him last week.
