They were once dominant backcourt players but Earl “The Pearl” Monroe, center, and Walt “Clyde” Frazier showed they were also comfortable at the net as the former Knicks literally faced former Rangers Adam Graves and Brian Mullen in a charity tennis match near the World Financial Center’s Winter Garden last week to raise money for the Red Cross’ Hurricane Katrina fund. The hockey players proved they could move without skates by beating the backcourt tandem.
