NYU Downtown Hospital has opened a new chemotherapy/infusion suite. The second-floor suite is designed for adult patients who require chemotherapy and phlebotomy, IV antibiotics, hydration, or iron infusions.
The suite enables patients to be hospitalized, diagnosed, and treated in the same facility. Unlike the usual chemotherapy treatment centers, the new suite was designed on a smaller, more intimate scale to provide patients with increased privacy and one-on-one attention.
