NYPD busted dog fighting ring, ASPCA pit bull is ready to be adopted

In July 2014, police busted up an apparent dog fighting ring in Queens, charging three people with training and fighting dogs. Cops also rescued 20 dogs, and now one of those pit bulls, Cecilia, is ready to be adopted.

Cecilia was found, with the other dogs, barking in and around the home and garage of a house on 196th Street in St. Albans.

Police searching the property first found five dogs wearing weighted collars and large chains with no food or water nearby behind the house, according to court records.
