Pigeon as friend, and lunch

On Sunday, in Washington Square Park, a man said hello to his fine, feathered friend, who he calls Karma, above. Karma is a wild pigeon that flies with a flock, but she comes to the man when he’s around. Meanwhile, the previous Sunday, in Tompkins Square Park, a red-tailed hawk, dubbed by some the Hipster Hawk, was dining alfresco on a pigeon that it had caught in midair, below.
