Woman hit by bus

A tour bus taking passengers to Atlantic City from Chinatown struck a woman, 76, at 11:30 a.m. Sun., Nov. 25 at the intersection of Broome St. and Bowery, police said. The victim, who was not identified, was walking with her son when the bus, operated by Skyliner Travel & Tours, hit her as she was crossing the street, police said. She was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition. The driver remained at the scene and was not charged.

Bag theft arrest

Police arrested Amanda Jackson, 19, on Sun., Nov. 18, and charged her with grand larceny for stealing a co-worker’s bag on Sept. 21 from the office of Contemporary Guidance Services, a service center for disabled people located at William and Ann Sts. The bag contained $560, a MetroCard and a bank card in a wallet and an iPod, police said.

Soho shoplifting

Police arrested Jorge Maldonado, 31, shortly after 4 p.m. Sun., Nov. 18 and charged him with shoplifting 22 pairs of gloves and five scarves from the Club Monaco store on Prince St. between W. Broadway and Wooster St. The suspect was arrested outside the store where plainclothes police stopped him. The bag where the merchandize was found was lined with metallic tape to prevent store sensors from detecting electronic tags on the items, police said. Maldonado was charged with grand larceny, possession of burglar tools and stolen property.

Burglary vandalism

Police arrested Andre Radujko, 24, on Nov. 20 and charged him with burglary and criminal mischief for breaking into his girlfriend’s apartment on Grand St. and W. Broadway on Nov. 9 while she was out from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. The suspect broke a glass panel in the door to get in and then scribbled on the walls with a magic marker, police said.

Car overturned

The driver of a car involved in a two-car collision at the corner of Varick and Dominick Sts. on Sunday afternoon Nov. 25 was extricated from her car that had overturned and was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital for observation.
