Bergtraum incidents A fight between two girls, 14 and 15, students at Murry Bergtraum High School, broke out about 3:45 p.m. Tues., March 11 on Fulton St. in front of McDonald’s, attracting a large crowd of students as well as police who broke up the fight, issued juvenile charges against the pair and took them to the First Precinct station where they were held until their parents picked them up, according to the precinct’s commander and crime prevention officer.
While police were dispersing the crowd on Fulton St., a male Bergtraum student, 16, caused a disturbance and was arrested for disorderly conduct. Wanted on a previous warrant, the student was taken to criminal court, police said.
Two Bergtraum students, a 16-year-old female and a 15-year-old male, were arrested and charged with second degree robbery in connection with the beating and robbing of a male student in a stairway of the school at 411 Pearl St. at 9:15 a.m. Thurs., March 6. The suspects attacked the victim as he was talking on his cell phone, punched and kicked him and made off with the cell phone, according to the charges filed by District Attorney Robert Morgenthau.
King St. drama A King St. resident phoned 911 around 1 p.m. Tues., March 11, and said three men on the roof of the building at 41 King St. next door were aiming what looked like a sniper rifle mounted on a tripod. Police arrived in force, found the trio in a basement apartment and hauled them off to the First Precinct.
Rafael DiLauro, 24, who lives in the building owned by his father, Louis, and his friend Adam Corre, 23, were given disorderly conduct summonses and their friend, Sam Maxwell, was charged with menacing.
The gun turned out to be a realistic replica and the three defendants had been shooting a movie scene they intended to submit as a film school application. But they spent the rest of the day in the police station.
In addition to police, paparazzi swarmed to the scene because Kate Hudson lives next door, although it was not known whether the actress and her 4-year-old son were at home. Nevertheless, a video of the arrest of the three aspiring filmmakers was on the celebrity Web site tmz.com on Tuesday.
