A Queens NYPD traffic agent was hospitalized Monday morning after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Forest Hills, police said.
According to NYPD sources, the traffic agent was standing in the street when she was struck by a driver at 8:51 a.m. on 75 Avenue and Queens Blvd. within the confines of the 112 Precinct. The vehicle apparently clipped the agent’s right arm before the driver fled the scene without stopping. Police sources said that the hit-and-run driver was in a gray Prius.
The victim was transported to Queens General Hospital in stable condition where she is expected to make a full recovery.
Officers remained on the scene for several hours following the crime as a part of their investigation.
