San Gennaro and ‘where to go?’

On Monday, workers were busy setting up the traditional red, white and green ornaments along Mulberry St. in preparation for the annual San Gennaro Festival. A father reading a tour book with his young son perched on his shoulders apparently had a more leisurely agenda. The festival, the 80th annual, begins Thurs., Sept. 13, and runs through Sun., Sept. 23.
