On Oct. 28, in front of the McDonald’s at 47th St. and Seventh Ave., PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) staged a protest against McDonald’s chicken McNugget-making methods. Midget-sized men wearing yellow chicken costumes angrily brandished McNuggets and stood flailing about in a Plexiglas tank with the words “McDonald’s Scalds Chicks to Death” on the side.
