The South Street Seaport, a hub of holiday festivities in Downtown Manhattan, swings into action on Nov. 26 at 6 p.m., when Seaport’s Santa Claus will light the Chorus Tree – a 50-foot tree bejeweled with thousands of shimmering lights.
In addition, the Big Apple Chorus, an a cappella group, will perform at the choral tree every Friday at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., and every Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. during the holiday season. Special performances are scheduled for Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Also, Seaport’s Santa will visit the Pier 17 Atrium, 3rd floor, from Tuesday to Friday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.; on Saturdays from noon to 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; and Sundays from noon to 2 p.m.
