Pace University is inviting interested chorus singers with modest singing experience to audition for its Carnegie Hall festival performance this year.
Singers will have a choice of rehearsal timings every Monday with initial rehearsals set to take place on February 7 in room 1203 of PACE building at 41 Park Row, across from City Hall. Interested singers can choose between 3:30 and 6:00 p.m. for the initial rehearsal.
The chorus will perform Mozart’s “Versperae Solennes de Confessore” in the legendary hall with the New England Symphonic Ensemble under conductor Jonathan Griffith on April 24. Geoffrey Fairweather will direct the music. The second performance would be held in PACE University’s Schimmel Auditorium on May 5.
