Nicholas Brooks, arrested in connection with the death of swimwear designer Sylvie Cachay, whose body was found in a bathtub in Soho House, an exclusive hotel club in the Meatpacking district, was indicted by a grand jury on Dec. 10. But the exact charges will not be made public until Brooks’s Manhattan State Supreme Court arraignment on Jan. 4, said a spokesperson for Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr.

The defendant, age 24, of 60 Second Ave. in the East Village, was arrested when he turned up at the private-membership club and hotel after Cachay’s body was found with strangulation marks on her neck. He was arrested for attempted murder because there were questions about the exact cause of death of the 33-year-old West Village resident.

The victim had told Brooks — whose Facebook photo shows him smoking a marijuana pipe — that she was breaking off their relationship, according to reports.
