A traveling public art installation, the Dialogue Project, rolled into Union Square last Wednesday. Mike Garibaldi, its organizer, hoped the art could be up four days, but the Parks Department gave him one. The project includes nine panels covered with quotes from famous historical figures and three mannequins, including Brio, with Garibaldi, below.
“I was driven to inspire people,” Garibaldi said. “It’s meant to bring people together in a public place.”
Garibaldi has gone $50,000 into debt to finance the project, about which a documentary is being made.
