Taste of Tribeca

Foodies hungry for a good cause can bring their appetites — and their wallets — to the annual Taste of Tribeca this Saturday, a fundraiser benefiting P.S. 150 and P.S. 234.

A ticket to the outdoor event buys attendees six “tastes,” 4-ounce samples from Downtown restaurants, ranging from ’beca’s mini Kobe burgers and crab cakes to Thalassa’s grilled Mediterranean octopus.

Manhattan Youth’s Bob Townley will emcee the event, which also features live music from Santanaria, The Orchid Thieves, Vinny Mongeluzo the stage guy and Dave Sasscer.

The event organizers hope to raise more than $100,000, which will support art, music and enrichment programs at the schools.

Taste of Tribeca will be held at Duane and Greenwich Sts. Sat., May 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets on the day of the event start at $45 a person.
