The Hudson River Park Trust just put up new orange cones separating the West Side bikeway/walkway south of Chambers St. near the Goldman Sachs construction. The new lane is presumably for walkers and bike walkers although some cyclists were also pedaling there this week.
Brooklyn Bridge lane closings
Two of the three Manhattan-bound lanes on the Brooklyn Bridge will be closed to traffic from July 23 to Sept. 10 due to repaving, the Lower Manhattan Construction Command Center reports. The lanes will be closed from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. on weekdays and 12:01 a.m. to 12 p.m. on weekends.
