ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING RULES ARE IN EFFECT ALL WEEK

The Lunar New Years celebrations and parades continue this week in Lower Manhattan!

A Chinese New Year Celebration 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday will close East Broadway between Chatham Sq. and Market St.

The Golden Lion Club Parade 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday will disrupt a number of streets and cause slowdowns leading up to the Manhattan Bridge. The streets impacted include Mott St. between Grand and Worth Sts., Canal between Mulberry St. and Bowery, Bowery between Canal and Division Sts., Bayard St. between Baxter and Elizabeth Sts. Elizabeth St. between Bayard and Grand Sts., Pell St. between Mott St. and Bowery, Mulberry St. between Worth and Canal Sts., Worth St. between Chatham Sq. and Mulberry St., and Grand St. between Mulberry St. and Bowery.

The Chinese Lunar Festival 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday will close Market St. between East Broadway and Henry St.

In the Battery Park Underpass, there will be a full closure of the south tube from the FDR to West St. 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each week day night. Use the detour by going south on West St., left onto Battery Pl., continuing onto State T., and going one block north on Water St., then right onto Broad St. The North and South tubes will fully close in both directions from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. each week day night. For the North tube detour, exit onto South St., continue on to Whitehall St., turn left onto State St. to Battery Place, and then turn left onto Battery Place to West St.

Slow-going on late night Hudson River crossings this week: In the Lincoln Tunnel, one New York-bound tube will be closed 11 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday. This will send drivers south to the Holland Tunnel where one New York-bound lane and one New Jersey-bound lane will be closed during the same period. Expect late night delays and extra traffic on Canal and Varick Sts.

In the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, one tube will close Monday through Friday nights 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. One tube will also close 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. Saturday. During the closure, two lanes of traffic will remain in the open tube.
