A woman crossing West St. at Albany St. was hit by a car Wednesday evening. She was knocked to the ground but remained conscious and was taken to St. Vincazent’s Hospital for observation, according to a police spokesperson. Police said the woman was crossing against the light and the driver who hit her stopped and was not arrested.
