Police arrested a woman Thursday for allegedly shooting another female dead at a Brooklyn party last month.
Forty-four-year-old Deonne Kirkland was led out of the 75th Precinct in cuffs on Sept. 22 for what police believe to be her role in the ruthless shooting inside of the Hearts of Love event venue located on 275 Liberty Avenue on Aug. 28.
According to police sources, Kirkland got into a dispute with 44-year-old Tarcia Lysius who was seen on video riding a bike through the birthday party. Kirkland allegedly shot Lysius in the head after getting into an altercation that swiftly escalated out of control. EMS rushed Lysius to University Hospital Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
“I didn’t do it,” Kirkland screamed as she was placed into the back of an unmarked car despite being seen fighting with the victim. “God bless the family, I feel sorry for them.”
Kirkland is charged with murder.
