Gardening Club 1st thru 5th graders learn the joys of gardening. Take part in preparing soil, planting seeds, watering plants, composting, garden-related crafts and more. Tuesdays, May 1 – Oct. 30 from 4-5pm. The Children’s Garden, Rockefeller Park. $150 for the season or $60 for a 2-month session. Registration begins in April.

Photography for Children Using a pinhole camera that they make themselves, students in grades 1-5 learn the art and science of photography. Mondays, May 7 – June 23 from 3:30-5pm. 2 South End Ave. $70 for 7 sessions. Registration begins in April.

Summer Art Colony Children ages 6-12 work with professional artists and learn how to truly create. One and two week classes available in a variety of themes, including Ceramics, Animation, Comics, Pinhole Photography, Claymation, Puppetry, Drawing, Textiles and more. Students will visit a museum or gallery and will exhibit their own works in an art show. July 9 – Aug. 31. Classes are Mon. – Fri.; from 10am – 4pm with supervised playtime available before and after. $500 – $1000 per class with registration before April 15.

Archikids Working alongside architect Yves Roger, children ages 9-13 will explore skyscraper architecture and create a hands-on building project, which they will be able to bring home. As they learn and work, children will be surrounded by images, vintage film and models of actual skyscrapers of the past, present and future. Sat., April 14 from 10am – Noon.

Pinkalicious, The Musical Pinkalicious can’t stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Decorative Delft Discover the history of New Amsterdam’s founding European settlers. Meet at New York Unearthed to explore original Delft Tiles left by Dutch settlers over 400 years ago.
