A man who police believe was involved in a Bronx homicide led officers on a wild chase from Clinton Hill to the Brooklyn Queens Expressway, ending under the Brooklyn Promenade, sources say.

The suspect was spotting sitting in the drivers seat of a white pick up truck when police investigators approached himat about 12 p.m. in front 825 Atlantic Avenue near Clinton Avenue. The driver then led police on a chase down Atlantic Avenue and onto the Queens-bound BQE, where officers from the 84th Precinct apparently shut down the highway and arrested the suspect.

The suspect, identified only as 40-years-old, is said to be wanted in a prior assault, though other sources say a Bronx homicide.

This is a developing story. Check back at amNewYork Metro for further updates.
