Pair of would-be thieves slash man with box cutter during failed robbery attempt in Brooklyn: cops

Cops are looking for a duo who slashed a man in Brooklyn after he refused to give them his money.

Police say that at 2:30 a.m. on Feb. 5, a 31-year-old man was in the vicinity of 52nd Street and 5th Avenue when he was approached by two unknown men, who demanded the man’s money. The victim refused, and the suspects pulled out a box cutter and slashed the victim on the neck and cheek.

The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction. EMS took the victim to an area hospital, where he was subsequently treated and released. No property was taken from the victim as a result of the incident.
