The New York Rangers have re-signed center Juuso Parssinen to a two-year contract extension, the team announced Friday.

The deal carries an average annual value of $1.25 million.

Parssinen, 24, was acquired by the Rangers in the March 1 trade that sent Ryan Lindgren and Jimmy Vesey to the Colorado Avalanche. Parssinen began the 2024–25 season with the Nashville Predators before he was traded to Colorado in December. He appeared in 48 games with the three teams in 2024–25, registering six goals and 16 points.

In 11 games with the Blueshirts, Parssinen totalled two goals and five points, alongside 11 penalty minutes.

Parssinen is expected to play for his native Finland in the upcoming 2025 IIHF World Championship. He has previously represented Finland in the 2017 World U-17 Hockey Challenge, 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, 2019 IIHF U18 World Championship and the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship, where he won the Bronze medal.
