New York area Pokémon trainers, unite! Pokémon GO Fest is returning this summer with a lineup of fun.
On June 6-8, Pokémon GO Fest will take over Liberty State Park in Jersey City, right across from Lower Manhattan. Gameplay activations will also take place throughout the five boroughs of New York City.
The mobile game, which utilizes augmented reality and interacts with the world around you, skyrocketed to popularity in 2016, and since then, Pokémon GO Fest has become a beacon for avid players. In 2023 and 2024, Pokémon GO Fest drew out thousands of players, and this year’s event is expected to do the same.
Those who attend Pokémon GO Fest can enjoy exclusive gameplay, explore Pokémon GO habitats brought to life, community celebrations, and the inaugural appearance of Volcanion. Throughout New York City, Pokémon GO players can take part in special events and in-game experiences.
Tickets for Pokémon GO Fest at Liberty State Park are available for $30 at pokemongo.com/gofest/jersey-city.
Pokémon GO Fest will also host its annual Global festival on June 28-29, no travel required. Tickets are available starting at $14.99, and those who purchase through the web store for Pokémon GO will receive 3 Premium Battle Passes, 5 Rare Candies, and 5 Max Revives with their purchase.
