Two cops in Times Square were injured early Wednesday morning after a crazed woman pepper-sprayed them in an unprovoked attack.

According to police sources, two cops from the Midtown South Precinct were walking in front of the Morgan Stanley Building at 1585 Broadway, in the Midtown North Precinct‘s confines, at around 1:28 a.m. on July 2, when a woman ran up to them and discharged pepper spray into their eyes.

Law enforcement sources said the assault appears to be unprovoked. Police reported that the suspect, 19-year-old Dana Baraket, said nothing before unleashing the chemical on the cops.

Both officers suffered irritation to the eyes and were transported back to a nearby hospital for treatment and were listed in stable condition.

Meanwhile, Baraket was taken into custody. Sources familiar with the incident described her as emotionally disturbed; she was taken to a local hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

The New York Post reported in 2023 that Baraket was captured on viral video ripping down Israeli hostage posters around Manhattan following the Oct. 7, 2023 terrorist attacks and going on an unhinged rant in which she shouted, “F–k Israel.”

She is expected to be charged with robbery, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of nitrates matter and harassment.
