The rest of Drake’s “Summer Sixteen” tour may have to have to wait until 2017.
Drake postponed the remainder of his current tour with Future “under doctors’ orders” due to a severe ankle injury, according to a statement released Monday by the Barclays Center.
“Drake suffered a severe ankle injury during the tour which he did his best to power through. By doing this, he made his injury worse,” the statement read.
The singer was set to wrap up the U.S. dates of his tour on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and on Saturday and Sunday at the Prudential Center in Newark.
The news came hours after Drake announced his schedule for “The Boy Meets World” tour, hitting the U.K. and Europe in early 2017 on Facebook.
There’s no news yet on when Drake plans to reschedule the canceled dates.
