Singer Kelly Clarkson and her husband Brandon Blackstock have welcomed their second child.
“Our little baby boy has arrived!!” Clarkson, who turns 34 on April 24, tweeted Thursday. “Remington Alexander Blackstock was born 4/12/16 & he is healthy & we couldn’t be happier or more in love!”
Clarkson, who married talent manager Blackstock in October 2013, had daughter River Rose on June 12, 2014. Clarkson also is stepmother to Blackstock’s two children — son Seth and daughter Savannah — from a previous marriage.
The three-time Grammy Award-winner revealed her pregnancy in August during a concert. “I was not planning on announcing this, but I’m pregnant,” she told the audience at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. “Totally pregnant!” When the crowd cheered in response, a teary Clarkson said, “This is not how I wanted to announce that,” and joked, through her running mascara, “My makeup artist is backstage just, like, hating me.”
The first “American Idol” winner, in 2002, Clarkson has recorded hits including “Since U Been Gone” and “My Life Would Suck Without You.”
