Rapper Jason Derulo and longtime girlfriend Jordin Sparks split in part over heightened pressure to get married, Derulo revealed Monday on a radio appearance with Ryan Seacrest.
The pressure was not just from Sparks, but from everyone, he said, and being apart so often weighed on the relationship as well.
He said cheating did not play a role in the breakup.
Appearing on the “Today” show with Kathie LeeGifford and HodaKotb Monday morning, Sparks was tight-lipped about their relationship. She said that when life throws heartbreak in your path, yell “plot twist” and simply move on.
