Selma Blair taken off flight on stretcher, reports say

Actress Selma Blair reportedly was hospitalized Monday after being removed by stretcher from a plane at Los Angeles International Airport.

People magazine, citing an unnamed “official,” said it had confirmed a TMZ.com report that Blair was removed from a Delta flight arriving from Cancún, Mexico, where she, her former boyfriend Jason Bleick and their nearly 5-year-old son, Arthur, were returning from a vacation.

“The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” actress, who turns 44 on Thursday, reportedly was in first class drinking wine and mixed an object into it, after which she allegedly began crying out, “He burns my private parts. He won’t let me eat or drink,” and going on to say, “He beats me. He’s going to kill me.” TMZ said two nurses onboard administered aid and checked Blair’s carry-on bag for medication that might have been mixed with alcohol, adding that the pilot radioed ahead about a medical emergency.

Blair, a former “Anger Management” series star and the pyrokinetic Liz Sherman in the “Hellboy” movies, had posted an Instagram photo of herself and Arthur on the flight out Friday, writing, “We’re leaving on a jet plane. Dad is already asleep. Not for long. Bwahahahha . #fathersdayweekend.”

On Monday, fashion-designer Bleick put up a similar photo of himself with their son, captioned, “On our way back from Fathers Day in Mexico.”
