Following her representative’s confirmation Sunday that her husband has left their marital home, Sharon Osbourne did not appear on Monday’s edition of “The Talk,” the CBS daytime show she co-hosts. Fellow host Julie Chen, 46, told viewers, “Sharon is not here today. There were many tabloid headlines this past weekend about Sharon and her husband Ozzy, rumors and speculation, that they have split up after nearly 34 years of marriage. Sharon understandably took today off.”
E! News reported Sunday that Osbourne, 63, and her husband, British heavy-metal rocker Ozzy Osbourne, 67, had mutually agreed that he would move out temporarily. The Osbournes, who have separated and reconciled previously, have three children: TV personalities Jack, 30, and Kelly, 31, and aspiring singer Aimee, born in 1983.
Sharon Osbourne earned two Emmy Award nominations as a producer of her and Ozzy’s 2002-05 MTV reality show “The Osbournes,” winning for Outstanding Reality Program the first year. She has been a co-host of “The Talk” — which recently won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show / Entertainment — since it began in 2010.
