‘The Good Wife’ star Chris Noth to join FX series ‘Tyrant,’ FX announces

When “The Good Wife” finishes its seven-season run on May 8, recurring guest Chris Noth will be joining the FX series “Tyrant.”

The cable network announced Monday that former “Law & Order” and “Sex and the City” star Noth will play American Gen. William Cogswell, posted to the fictional Middle Eastern nation of Abbudin to help support provisional president Bassam “Barry” Al-Fayeed (Adam Rayner) and reignite a romance with Leila (Moran Atias), wife of Al-Fayeed’s ousted brother.

The 10-episode third season of “Tyrant” airs later this year.
