VIVIZ is the South Korean girl group forging a new legacy in K-pop, drawing on their veteran experience from their former group, GFriend, and elevating it into a bright, bold sound that spans a wider musical spectrum. Fans have heralded EUNHA, SINB, and UMJIi as a golden trio, praising their vocal prowess, versatility, and distinctive synergy on stage.
Now, just three years after their debut mini-album “Beam of Prism,” VIVIZ continues to embody the spirit of their name by bringing “VIVID dayz” to supporters, affectionately known as Na.V, around the world. amNewYork spoke with VIVIZ following the culmination of their “NEW LEGACY” world tour to discuss how they continue to distinguish themselves within the global K-pop landscape, starting with their first studio album, “A Montage of ( ).”
“A full studio album means so much to us as artists, as well as to the fans. Ever since VIVIZ debuted, we were hoping for this day to come, and finally, after three years, we were able to gift Na.V this record, which makes me really happy. If you take a look at the tracklist, you will see that we were also able to put out solo tracks for the very first time! I am excited about how VIVIZ will continue to show an even wider spectrum of colors moving forward,” SINB told amNewYork.
VIVIZ’s individuality, what they fondly refer to as their own “colors,” is embedded in their very moniker, crafted in Korean by merging syllables from each of the three members’ names.

“Our group name comes from the combination of our names: EUNBI, SINB and UMJI. It also has a meaning of “VIVID dayz” – just like throughout the years, we have released a lot of diverse, colorful music. From now on, I would love to showcase a stronger, more polished musical color,” EUNHA said.
“Recently, I started thinking that the music we are doing now is the most mature we have shown so far. However, among VIVIZ’s title tracks, the lively “BOP BOP!”, which was our debut song, has a special meaning to me! I love this song even more because whenever we perform it our Na.V seem to be enjoying it the most,” EUNHA added.
While three years may seem brief to some, this arduous journey has been deeply enlightening for VIVIZ, offering space to refine their craft and evolve their music with intention. They shared that their music has matured alongside them, yet still retains the brightness that has come to define their signature sound.
“I think I’ve stepped out of certain fixed boundaries and expanded into a space where I can be more daring and receptive to new things. And a song that holds a special meaning for me would be “MANIAC,” as it helped us reach and introduce VIVIZ to so many more people,” SINB said.
“I believe our growth is reflected in how we’ve shaped VIVIZ into a group that, despite having only three members, stands as a complete and well-rounded team,” UMJI added.

In September, the group returned to New York City for their concert at the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center, sharing that the fans’ fiery energy reignited their passion. That connection with their staunch supporters grew even stronger as the crowd sang along to every song.
“We promised that we would come back to New York, and I am so happy we got to keep our promise. I think this concert was even more fun and filled with more energy! I hope you enjoy the upgraded performances on this tour,” EUNHA said. “These days when we’re touring and we meet our fans they warmly say “Welcome back!” to us. I love it, because it feels like we’re family, it feels like we’re friends. Thank you so much for waiting for us!”
“We wanted to meet our New York Na.V after a year after a year and show them our news songs on stage. And they all loved them and sang along, which put me in a great mood! Since this tour is carried out solely by the three of us, I hope you’ll also look forward to a choreography arrangement that’s different from what we usually do,” SINB said. “I honestly keep every interaction very close to my heart, but one that really stands out is our American Na.V dancing more excitedly than us when they’re watching us perform!”
While their world tour, which ran for about five months, culminated on Nov. 9 in Australia, VIVIZ promises fans that there is more to come.
“With this world tour, we hope to showcase stages that make you love VIVIZ even more. Thank you for always sending us your love and support from afar. Let’s make unforgettable memories together,” UMJI said.
