Metropolitan Museum’s latest exhibition showcases ‘mourning attire’

Who knew bereavement could be so fashionable? The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute’s fall fashion show “Death Becomes Her: A Century of Mourning Attire” features funeral wear from the 19th and early 20th centuries. The exhibition, featuring approximately 30 ensembles, opens Oct. 21, just in time for Halloween and Day of the Dead celebrations.
