From DKNY, to Peter Som, to Betsey Johnson and Mara Hoffman, this season’s crop of designers showing at New York Fashion Week runs the gamut from flirty and feminine to dramatic and sophisticated.
As varying as the styles set to head down the runways during NYFW, which runs from Sept. 4-11 at Lincoln Center and other venues around Manhattan, are the designers’ inspirations for their Spring 2015 collections, which this time range from the first few moments of the sunrise (Monique Lhuillier) to “urban nation” (DKNY).
To give us a taste of what’s to come, some of the fashion world’s top talents shared a peek inside their design process, giving us a look at collection sketches and a feel for their inspirations for the season.
