Detectives in Harlem are looking for the killer who fatally stabbed a man inside an apartment building stairwell on Saturday afternoon.

Officers from the 25th Precinct and PSA 5 made the discovery in responding to a 911 call about an assault inside the Lincoln Houses, at 2130 Madison Ave., at about 4:27 p.m. on Feb. 27.

Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement sources said, they located the victim inside a 13th floor stairwell with multiple stab wounds about his body.

Responding EMS units rushed the victim to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have withheld his identity, pending family notification.

At this point, investigators have not yet established a possible motive for the killing, or a description of a suspect.

No arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation, police said.
