6th and 10th Cop of the Year awards

The Greenwich Village Chelsea Chamber of Commerce will present its annual Cop of The Year Awards for 2004 honoring officers of the Sixth and 10th Precincts on Wed. Oct. 27 from 12-2 p.m. at Tiro a Segno, 77 MacDougal St. This year’s event will include the announcement of a 9/11 Scholarship Fund in memory of Lisa LaFrieda, a member of G.V.C.C.C and Community Board 2 who died this year. This year’s event includes the beginning of an annual Safe Cities, Safe Communities program featuring a series of public crime prevention seminars to be led by the office of Manhattan District Attorney Robert Morgenthau.
