A very pressing matter at the start of Hanukkah

On the first evening of Hanukkah, youngsters at My Little School, a preschool at Gymboree, at 100 Reade St. in Tribeca, used olive oil they made to light the menorah. Michoel Albekurk, above right, led the spellbound children through the oil-making process. Hanukkah commemorates the miracle of one day’s supply of oil that miraculously lasted not one but eight nights.
