Activist’s fighting spirit

Above and below, friends left a note, candles and flowers on the door at 14 Gay St. for David Ryan, who died in a fire in his apartment on Christmas morning. Ryan was a leader in the fight to stop the Port Authority from building a new PATH station entrance/exit on Christopher St.
