Annual memorial for Fr. Hovda

Friends of the late Father Robert W. Hovda will remember him at a memorial Mass on Thurs., Feb. 5, the 12th anniversary of his death. The Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church in Greenwich Village, Sixth Ave. and Washington Pl., at 6:30 p.m. A reception will follow the Mass. Father Hovda, an internationally known liturgist, authored the influential “Amen Corner” in Worship magazine for more than 10 years. Prior to his retirement, he served on the pastoral staff of St. Joseph’s Church. He died in 1992.
