On May 30, 2,440 Borough of Manhattan Community College students received 2,440 associate degrees at Madison Square Garden’s WaMu Theater. An estimated 75 percent of this year’s graduates, mostly liberal arts students, will continue on to four-year colleges.  Some students will be going to Ivy League universities next year and the majority of graduating students will head to SUNY and CUNY schools, and small liberal arts colleges such as Vassar.

Five hundred students earned terminal degrees in business management, nursing, and accounting. Although these students require no further schooling in their subject, some will also seek bachelor’s degrees.
