A man was charged for attacking a man in Brooklyn back in September.

James Woods, 28, was arrested on Dec. 30 in connection to the assault of Angel Diaz, 79. He was charged with assault.

According to police, at 8:54 p.m. on Sept. 13 Woods allegedly approached Diaz in front of 46 Hoyt Street and allegedly punched Diaz, knocking him to the ground. Woods then allegedly punched Diaz multiple times in the face.

Woods allegedly fled the scene on foot. Diaz was taken to Methodist Hospital in stable condition. He was later transferred to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where he was pronounced dead on Oct. 29.
